A 34-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the hospital on September 21st after she was struck by two motorcycles minutes apart while lying on the street.
According to the report, at around 1:30 a.m., a 67-year-old man who was delivering newspapers on a motorcycle in Kasukabe, Saitama Prefecture, ran over a woman who was lying on the road.
A few minutes later, another 54-year-old newspaper delivery man was riding his motorcycle when he hit the same woman.
The woman was struck on the chest and abdomen and was pronounced dead approximately 13 hours after being taken to a nearby hospital.
The scene of the incident was a street in a residential area with little lighting, and it was dark at the time. In response to the police investigation, both motorcyclists stated they were not looking closely ahead.
