VenusBlood Gaia, the SRPG by developer Dualtail that was originally released exclusively in Japan in 2013 is now available in the West courtesy of JAST and ready to take players on the impossible quest to rescue the decaying world of Palastra.
The story follows Theofrad, the Archduke of the Sorcerous City of Energia. The island of Palastra, once considered a shining gem of the Golden Age, has fallen to an unknown plague that brought decay and monsters to the peaceful island.
After discovering a new energy source called Ether, which may be the key to saving Palastra, Theofrad embarks on a journey to save the realm but faces an uphill battle with the Holy Dragon Empire Granleyd outlawing the Ether and declaring holy war on Energia.
Theofrad must find allies to help take on the Holy Dragon Empire and make choices leading to paths of law or chaos with various endings based on choices made.
The battles are in dungeon defense SRPG style with the goal of stopping enemy invasions. There are three divisions with six units each for a total of 18 allied units in battle that can be customized.
