The cult hit gaming studio Love-de-lic’s legacy continues on with Onion Games’ Stray Children, developed by the staff behind games like Moon, which in turn inspired games like Undertale later on.
While not a direct sequel, Stray Children keeps the game’s eccentric worldview and graphical style – some of which partially informed early Western views of “weird Japanese games,” and seems to be also taking inspiration from the games it inspired as well, such as dodging enemy attacks in real-time and talking down the enemies.

Stray Children releases in Winter 2023 in Japan. Internationally, a localization has been announced without a release date.
