Sanrio Joins Project Sekai Wave With Human Characters in Fragaria Memories

Perhaps inspired by the outstanding success of Project Sekai, which successfully brought together Hatsune Miku and human characters, mascot maker Sanrio has announced their first project with human designs, called Fragaria Memories.

While details are scarce as the big reveal is set to happen at Animate Girls Festival, what has been revealed is that Hello Kitty and the other Sanrio mascots are set to join as ‘Rulers’ of the kingdoms that the Fragaria take orders from.

While not every game can be as much of a breakout success as Project Sekai, which revitalized the Vocaloid fandom with new fans, and Disney’s success with Twisted Wonderland, the success of these titles likely means more projects like these may be coming from here on out.
