New Persona 4 Golden Mod Removes Hot Springs and Beach Events

Western sensibilities get in the way of common sense once again, with a new mod that removes what the creator deems as “cringe events” like the beach and hot spring events from Persona 4 Golden, clearly forgetting about the process of bonding with others.

The mod makes the game even more of a straight-up school simulator, with the cross-dressing pageant and group date cafes also being removed. While at least this is a mod and not a change being made officially to the game across ports, it possibly gives more evidence to those against the West’s crusade against Japanese morals that even games reflecting the era they are from are too “hardcore” for some people.
