A man was arrested for allegedly forcing women, including a 15-year-old girl, to send nude videos of themselves before loaning them money and then using the video as collateral.
The suspect, 50-year-old Yuji Shinoda, is a company executive in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture. He was suspected of violating the Money Lending Business Act in April 2022 by lending 470,000 yen to three females between the ages of 15 and 22. Shinoda had the victims send the loan payments and interest to the account of an accomplice.
According to the police report, Shinoda had girls send nude videos of themselves, which he used as collateral. He solicited women looking for loans on social media and charged high-interest rates. The accomplice was also arrested following the investigation.
