Malfunctioning Korean EV Taxi Goes on Wild 188 km/h Ride Before Crashing


A Korean EV taxi cab malfunctioned after colliding with another car and went on an uncontrollable ride, reaching 188 km/h speeds before crashing while carrying passengers.

The incident occurred on September 15th in Daegu, South Korea, when a taxi driver lost control after colliding with another vehicle, accelerating rapidly and reaching up to 188 km/h before crashing into a car at a traffic light.

A recording from the taxi showed a tense exchange between the passengers and the driver, who was heard saying that the brakes weren’t working, and the passengers were telling him to turn off the engine, which also wasn’t working.

The taxi collided with a car waiting at a traffic light and flipped over about 250 meters away. Seven people, including the taxi driver, were injured in the accident.
