In another outstanding move, Hunter x Hunter mangaka, Yoshihiro Togashi has made yet another outstanding move that got him trending on Twitter – by tweeting a photo implying that he’s once again found enough bodily strength to continue working on manga.
At the end of last year, Hunter x Hunter ended its weekly serialization in Shonen Jump while on hiatus to try alternative forms of publishing to accommodate for Togashi’s poor back health condition. However, after tweets made in May, Togashi disappeared from the public eye for five months, only to reappear today with a mysterious message, “Start over.”
Posted at just after midnight on a Sunday night before a work Monday (in JPT), Togashi’s tweet was enough to send the man onto Twitter trends all throughout the morning, showing the mangaka still has a lot of clout despite the constant breaks. It’s unknown if the manga Togashi is referring to is Hunter x Hunter or even something completely new, but readers expressed excitement in his replies that the mangaka was doing something again.
