It’s a rare sight nowadays when Konami does something that leaves fans applauding, but the announcement of Contra: Operation Galuga, a reimagining of the run n’ gun arcade and NES game with full aiming and a new art style, might become one of them.
The game is being developed by Shantae series developer WayForward and is expanding from the original game’s 2-player co-op to 4-player co-op. Accompanying the iconic duo Bill & Lance seems to be a redesigned Lucia, a combat female robot from the later games, and newcomer Ariana, and it seems even more player characters can be unlocked.
